MATERIAL
CORDURA 305 POLYESTER (POLYURETHANE COATING) / NYLON

The main fabric is made of CORDURA® POLYCARBONATE, an original material developed in collaboration with INVISTA. The base fabric is a highly durable and tear-resistant CORDURA® 305D polyester ox. Its surface features a polycarbonate coating that provides superior durability—offering better resistance to friction, abrasion, and light, as well as a slower rate of hydrolysis degradation—compared to standard PU coatings, resulting in excellent waterproof and water-repellent properties. It is available in four colors: a unique charcoal-toned "BLACK" exclusive to CIE; "OLIVE," inspired by the sage green found in European military wear; "GRAY NAVY," a desaturated navy inspired by the Polish military; and "LIGHT GRAY," modeled after the pale gray of all-weather coats used by the U.S. Navy. The tape details use high-density, military-style woven nylon tape characterized by its distinct ridges. The custom-woven CORDURA label features CIE's original olive color, while the CIE brand label is made of back-satin fabric woven on traditional shuttle looms. The zippers are equipped with CIE original zinc die-cast pullers manufactured by YKK.

The polycarbonate material of the main fabric may be scratched by sharp objects or by getting caught in zippers.
