The main material uses "KONBU-N," a nylon developed by Komatsu Matere. Through a special treatment, each individual fiber is swollen to create a fabric that possesses volume, durability, and resistance to degradation equivalent to conventional nylon, yet features a texture reminiscent of cotton canvas, with its most notable characteristics being a unique dry feel, firmness, and lightweight quality. The top gusset is equipped with a zipper pocket for storing items such as IC cards or keys.

The shoulder strap is made by stitching together the main fabric and acrylic tape with four lines of stitching, while the main body features triple stitching, reproducing the details of 1950s-60s US newspaper bags while modifying them for a contemporary look. The series is also highly functional, featuring YKK water-repellent zipper tape. The original CIE brand tag is made of back satin woven on traditional shuttle looms, and the zipper pull is an original CIE zinc die-cast pull manufactured by YKK.
