The main fabric is CORDURA® POLYCARBONATE, an original material developed in collaboration with INVISTA. The base fabric is CORDURA® 305D polyester ox, which is highly durable against friction and tearing. Its surface features a polycarbonate coating that provides superior durability—offering better resistance to abrasion, wear, and light, as well as a slower rate of hydrolysis-related deterioration—compared to standard PU coatings, resulting in an excellent waterproof and water-repellent material. It is available in four colors: a unique charcoal-toned "BLACK" exclusive to CIE; an "OLIVE" inspired by sage green seen in European military wear; a desaturated "GRAY NAVY" inspired by the military navy of the Polish army; and a "LIGHT GRAY" modeled after the pale gray of all-weather coats adopted by the U.S. Navy. The tape detailing uses military-style, high-density woven nylon tape characterized by its distinct ridges. The custom-woven CORDURA label is in an original CIE olive color, while the original CIE branding features a back-satin label woven on traditional shuttle looms. The zippers are equipped with original CIE zinc die-cast pullers manufactured by YKK.
The shoulder strap can be repositioned to allow for a shorter, shoulder-carry configuration.

The waterproof property of the main fabric refers to the fabric itself; water may seep through the seams or zippers.

The polycarbonate material of the main fabric may be scratched by sharp objects or by being caught in the zippers.
