The "RAIN CAMO" series, a limited collection of the GRID3 line, is a special series featuring the classic GRID3 styles produced using an original material. This material is based on the "Strichtarn" rain camo pattern that originated in East Germany, which CIE adapted into its own original rain camo design. The design was then printed onto CORDURA® POLYCARBONATE—an original material developed in collaboration with INVISTA—using a hand-printing process by artisans at a domestic dyeing factory. This series is available exclusively in "OLIVE," a color that was repeatedly tested and refined since the inception of the GRID3 series, offering the most military-inspired aesthetic among the standard colorways.

The base fabric is made of a highly durable CORDURA® 305D polyester ox, which is resistant to abrasion and tearing. Its surface features a polycarbonate coating that offers superior durability—boasting higher abrasion, wear, and light resistance, as well as a slower rate of hydrolysis-related degradation compared to standard PU coatings—resulting in an excellent waterproof and water-repellent material.

The bag features a 2-way design that can be used as a shoulder bag or a single-shoulder bag by reattaching the shoulder harness. The left side is equipped with a zip pocket suitable for an IC card or mobile device, while the right side features a pocket for a bottle. The tape detailing uses military-style nylon tape with a high-density weave, designed to allow for the attachment of carabiners and other small accessories. The CIE original tag is a back-satin label woven on traditional shuttle looms. The zippers are equipped with CIE original zinc die-cast pullers manufactured by YKK.

Please note that the waterproof property applies only to the fabric itself; water may penetrate through the seams or zippers.

The polycarbonate material used for the main fabric may be scratched by sharp objects or caught in the zippers.

CIE's original rain camo pattern based on "Strichtarn," a camouflage pattern that originated in East Germany.
It is characterized by countless fine vertical dashed lines (raindrops) that look like "rain," which is why it is called rain camo or raindrop pattern.

The shoulder strap features detachable tape sections on both sides; by removing these and attaching only the pad, it can be used as a short shoulder strap.
