LIMITED EDITION - RAIN CAMO -
The "RAIN CAMO" series, a limited collection of the GRID3 series, is based on "Strichtarn," a rain camouflage pattern that originated in East Germany. CIE created its own original rain camo pattern and had it developed by INVISTA. The material was then hand-printed by artisans at a domestic dyeing factory onto the original CORDURA® POLYCARBONATE material used in GRID3's classic models, making this a truly special series. This series is available exclusively in "OLIVE," which is the most military-like of the standard color offerings—a color developed through repeated prototyping since the inception of the GRID3 series.

The main body fabric uses an original material developed in collaboration with INVISTA: CORDURA® POLYCARBONATE. The base fabric is a highly durable CORDURA® 305D polyester ox, which is resistant to friction and tearing. Its surface features a polycarbonate coating that offers superior durability—including improved abrasion resistance, wear resistance, and lightfastness, as well as a slower degradation rate caused by hydrolysis—along with excellent waterproof and water-repellent properties. The tape detailing uses a military-style, high-density woven nylon tape characterized by its distinctive ridges. The custom-woven CORDURA label features CIE’s original olive color, and the original CIE label is a back satin woven on traditional shuttle looms. The zippers feature CIE original zinc die-cast pulls manufactured by YKK.
