CIE-NEWS PAPER - BOY BAG

The main material is KONBU-N, a nylon fabric developed by Komatsu Matere. Through a special treatment, each fiber is made to swell, creating a fabric that possesses the texture of cotton canvas while maintaining the colorfastness and durability of conventional nylon. Its defining features are its unique dry touch, firmness, and lightweight quality.

The shoulder strap is crafted by combining the self-fabric with acrylic tape and featuring four-row stitching, while the main body is constructed with triple stitching. These details recreate the look of 1950s–60s US newspaper bags while incorporating a modern modification. The series is also highly functional, featuring YKK water-repellent zippers. The CIE original tag is woven on a traditional shuttle loom using back satin. The zipper pulls are original zinc die-cast YKK pulls designed by CIE.

This is the first vertical shoulder bag in the series.
