The "RAIN CAMO" series, a limited collection of the GRID3 series, is a special series featuring the classic GRID3 styles produced with an original material developed in collaboration with INVISTA: CORDURA® POLYCARBONATE, hand-screen printed by craftsmen at a domestic dyeing factory. The design is based on the "Strichtarn" rain camouflage pattern that originated in East Germany, which CIE has reinterpreted into its own original rain camo print. This series is exclusively available in "OLIVE," a color that is the most military-like of the standard lineup and was developed through repeated prototyping since the inception of the GRID3 series.

The main fabric used is CORDURA® POLYCARBONATE, an original material developed in collaboration with INVISTA. The base fabric is a highly durable and friction-resistant CORDURA® 305D polyester ox. Its surface is treated with a polycarbonate coating that offers superior durability against friction, wear, and light, as well as a slower rate of degradation from hydrolysis compared to standard PU coatings, resulting in an excellent waterproof and water-repellent material. The tape details use a military-style, high-density woven nylon tape characterized by its distinct ridges. The custom CORDURA woven label features CIE's original olive color, and the CIE original brand label is made from back satin woven on traditional shuttle looms. The zippers are equipped with CIE's original zinc die-cast YKK pull tabs.
