The "RAIN CAMO" series, a limited collection from the GRID3 line, is a special series featuring classic GRID3 silhouettes crafted from an original material. Based on the East German "Strichtarn" rain camo pattern, CIE developed an original rain camo design and commissioned INVISTA to create a custom CORDURA® POLYCARBONATE fabric, which is then hand-screen-printed by artisans at a domestic dyeing factory. This series is available exclusively in "OLIVE," a color developed through repeated prototyping since the inception of the GRID3 line, offering the most military-inspired aesthetic among the standard colorways.

The base fabric is CORDURA® 305D polyester ox, known for its superior resistance to friction and tearing. It is treated with a durable polycarbonate coating that offers better resistance to friction, abrasion, and light, as well as a slower rate of hydrolysis-related degradation compared to standard PU coatings, resulting in a material with excellent waterproof and water-repellent properties.

The tape detailing uses a high-density, military-style nylon tape featuring a distinctive ribbed weave. The CORDURA custom woven label is in a CIE-exclusive olive color, and the CIE original label is crafted from back satin using traditional shuttle looms. The zippers feature custom CIE zinc die-cast YKK pulls.

The waterproof functionality of the main fabric applies to the material itself; water may penetrate through seams or zippers.

The polycarbonate material of the main fabric may be scratched by sharp objects or caught in zippers.
