The GRID3 HELMET BAG is modeled after the bags originally used to carry helmets and oxygen masks in the US. Featuring a main L-shaped zipper opening, it offers a wider aperture and better visibility compared to conventional helmet bags. The L-shaped opening uses a triple zipper slider, allowing for side-only access. It also features a gusset, which is rare for helmet bags, to enhance convenience. The front has two snap pockets, and the back features a large-capacity open pocket with internal partitions. The interior is equipped with storage compartments, a zippered pocket, a cylindrical pocket for securing bottles, and a PC pocket. A lightweight, high-convenience resin spring hook—a nod to the original design used to tether the bag to walls—is positioned at the top of the front. It is a 2-way bag that can be carried by the handles or worn crossbody with the shoulder strap, designed for use in various scenes, whether on or off duty.
The main body fabric uses CORDURA® POLYCARBONATE, an original material developed in collaboration with INVISTA. The base fabric is CORDURA® 305D polyester ox, which is durable and resistant to friction and tearing. Its surface is treated with a polycarbonate coating that offers superior durability—including higher resistance to friction, abrasion, and light, as well as a slower degradation rate from hydrolysis—compared to standard PU coatings, resulting in excellent waterproof and water-repellent properties. It is available in four colors: a unique charcoal-tinted "BLACK" (CIE bespoke color), "OLIVE" inspired by European military wear, "GRAY NAVY" (a low-saturation navy inspired by the Polish military), and "LIGHT GRAY" modeled after the pale gray of all-weather coats adopted by the US Navy. The tape details utilize high-density, military-style nylon ribbon with distinct ridges, arranged in a grid pattern to accommodate carabiners and other accessories. The original CIE woven label is made of back-satin woven on traditional shuttle looms. The CORDURA label is an original olive-colored woven label authorized by INVISTA. The zippers feature CIE original zinc die-cast YKK pullers.
