CIE-NEWS PAPER BAG - XL

The main material used is "KONBU-N," a nylon developed by Komatsu Matere. Through a special treatment, each fiber is swollen to create volume, offering the same level of colorfastness and durability as conventional nylon while providing a texture similar to cotton canvas, characterized primarily by its unique dry feel, firmness, and lightweight nature. The top gusset features a zippered pocket for storing items such as IC cards or keys.

The XL size offers a large capacity, making it suitable for daily use or travel. The graphic on the front features the phrase "THE FREE PRESS," which was used by newspapers in the 1950s and 60s to champion the freedom of the press. The XL size is available in "WHITE" only.

The shoulder straps are constructed by combining the main fabric with acrylic tape and finished with four-row stitching, while the main body features triple-stitched seams, recreating the details of 1950s–60s US newspaper bags with a modern modification. The series is also highly functional, featuring YKK water-repellent zipper tape. The original CIE brand tag is made from back satin woven on vintage shuttle looms, and the zipper pulls are original CIE zinc die-cast YKK pulls.
